One of the kitchens shown in the previous post caught my attention twice as much, as I knew I have seen it somewhere before. After a little investigation on the internet I found again this fabulous, (almost) all white Finnish house with that kitchen. I first saw this beautiful pure white home last year and I found its calm and peaceful ambiance very inspiring. Even though I would not choose to live on the long term in a monochrome home (because I prefer to pop some fine light colors in my interior, never too much, but just a little), I would still call it a ‘dream home’, definitely!
There are only a few colors apart from white used in this airy house, and those are also very muted: beige, gray, brown, black. This scandinavian interior is filled with natural materials, textiles, such as wood, linen and cotton, which reinforce the light and simple harmony of colors.
The house was decorated and furnished by its owner who likes to combine the modern clean lines with some classic timelessness.
Sit snugly, and look through the following images of this admirable home in Finland.
I like the light gray wall behind the double bed a lot. At first hearing it might sound weird to paint walls grey in a bedroom, but actually you can create a very intimate and harmonic atmosphere with this color if you pair it with soft and warm lighting and some romantic accessories (you will see it in the next post!):
